The emergence of a community associated with the existence of the law that regulates the relationship between its members to ensure achieving organization in such society and eliminating any kinds of inconsistencies between different interests. It is impossible to have a society without law. As such society will be exposed to breaking down factors.. It is also impossible to have a society without legal knowledge which enables the competent in this knowledge identifying aspects of the rights and attributed them to their owners.
As a result of the urgent need and of the importance of legal studies in most of scientific universities, the Department of Law has been constructed in 2000 and was part of the structural system of the College of Education .. which, then, was evolved in 2002 to became a College by itself known as the College of law .. The first batch of graduates was in the academic year 2003- 2004. By 2008, the name of the College has been changed from the Faculty of law into Faculty of Rights taking in account the correct and sound name that is consistent with the College objectives. Since that law schools as long embraced the study of political science at other universities, the Department of Political Science has been development in 2009 and the College became consisting of law and political sciences sections. So that its name is changed to be the Faculty of law and Political Science in 2010 . Eight batches of students have been graduated from the college since its establishment.
