Faculty of Law and Political Science Discusses Resolving Banking Disputes Mechanism at Financial Services Court
Under Sponsorship of the Dean of the Faculty of Law and Political Science Pro. Dr. Khalifa Ibrahim Al-Tamimi, Law department conducted a training course entitled “The Banking Dispute Resolution Mechanism through the Special Court” (Financial Services Court). The lectures were presented by Mr.Hussam Abdul Latif Muhi and Mr. Mustafa Turki Homid. The lecturers addressed two main axes: first, which included addressing how the Financial Services court is constituted, administered and competent.
The second point explained how the judgement is rendered by the Financial Services Court and the possibility of appeal.
In addition, seminar included several objectives, most notably:
-Identification of disputes between banks.
-Statement of the court competent to adjudicate on bank disputes.
-Highlight the competence and powers of the Financial Services Court and how it renders judgement and appeal against it.
-Investors in the banking sector are enriched with important information about the Special Commercial Court (Financial Services Court).
It is worth to be mentioned that these courses contribute significantly and directly to increasing students’ understanding and knowledge of legal information.
